Legacy and Community Investment Manager,
Kelly is the Community Investment Manager at Tideway, with over a decade’s experience leading huge infrastructure projects on economic and social benefits and the impacts these benefits have on the communities. Kelly is responsible for delivering the community investment strategy and chairs the project’s Community Investment Steering Group to ensure all investments add value to both the communities and the project. She manages Tideway’s partnership with environmental charity Thames21 called Thames River Watch, which helps tackle the scourge of plastic waste. The partnership involves volunteers from riverside communities being recruited to collect data about the river’s litter pollution and its water quality. This information goes into a database and used to create reports about these issues. The findings have generated national media interest and programme data was used by the London Assembly Environment Committee in a report calling on Sadiq Khan to take action. He subsequently announced an investment in ater fountains in London to reduce the tide of plastic waste. The partnership has helped Tideway to win several awards in 2018 and 2019 including the Global Good Awards, The Better Society Award for Commitment to the Local Community and the project being named Corporate Citizen of the Year at the Evening Standard Business Awards. Prior to joining Tideway, Kelly worked on large billion pound projects such as the London Underground Tube Upgrade and Crossrail.
