Andrew been with the Environment Agency for over 25 years in operational in Flood
Risk and Environment Management roles. As Deputy Director for Asset Management Systems he has responsibility for establishing and assuring asset management approaches across flood risk, water resource, navigation and air quality monitoring infrastructure. As Programme Director for the Thames Estuary Asset Management 2100 (TEAM2100) programme he has responsibility for the Environment Agency’s largest flood-risk management programme. TEAM2100 is delivering the first 10 years of asset management in the tidal flood defences as recommended by the 100-year Thames Estuary 2100 (TE2100) plan. This sets out how to manage increasing tidal flood risk, due to rising sea levels and deteriorating assets, from now until the end of the century and beyond. Valued at £308million, TEAM2100 is one of the Government’s top 40 infrastructure projects and delivering greater value for public money is at its heart, through innovation, greater collaboration with the supply chain and optimised asset and programme management. Andrew is a Strategic Board member of I-STORM, the international network of storm surge barrier operators.
