Siân Thomas is an infrastructure professional with a Doctorate in Business Administration who provides a unique and powerful combination of expertise and diversity of thought. Siân’s doctoral thesis explored collaboration between teams in a megaproject, providing an in depth understanding of how to facilitate the best and most productive interactions between teams. With a compelling ability to challenge and ask why, Siân ensures alternative perspectives are covered, successfully integrating across teams and organisations teams to enable delivery.
A Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and Chartered Management Institute, Siân has spent 20 years in infrastructure delivering in general business, project and operational roles. Siân is also an Honorary Professor at UCL as a member of the Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management External Advisory Board.
As part of the senior team of the Thames Tideway Tunnel project, Siân leads the organisation in fulfilling its obligations to deliver an integrated, operable CSO control system. Her focus is at the interface between ownership and delivery, taking a long-term asset view and assuring that what is delivered meets the ultimate system operations objectives.
